Victoxinine
Application Notes
Victoxinine is a sesquiterpenoid isolated from Bipolaris and Helminthoporium sp. Victoxinine is structurally related to helminthosporol and prehelminthosporol. Victoxinine is phytotoxic, causing root rot in cereals. Victoxinine inhibits tissue respiration, mitochondrial succinic oxidase, and ketoglutarate oxidation, as well as succinic dehydrogenase.
