Verlamelin B
Application Notes
Verlamelin B is a complex lipodepsipeptide antibiotic first isolated from Lecanicillium sp. by Nihira and co-workers at Mahidol University, Thailand in 2014. Verlamelin B is active against phytopathogenic fungi, including Aspergillus versicolor and Curvularia australiensis. Verlamelin B is also a potent inhibitor of Colletotrichum asianum (MIC 5-10 μg/mL). Verlamelin B is active against HSV-1 with an IC50 of 15.6 μM.
