Mycoleptone A
Application Notes
Mycoleptone A is a rare bis-azaphilone polyketide isolated from the endophytic fungus, Mycoleptodiscus indicus, by Brazilian researchers Bastos and colleagues in 2014. Mycoleptone A is a dimer of two austdiol units connected by a methylene bridge. Few studies have been published on the biological activity of mycoleptone A, aside from an observed lack of antileishmanial or cytotoxic activity against several cell lines.
