Methyl trans-ferulate
Application Notes
Methyl trans-ferulate is the trans methyl ester of ferulic acid, the cornerstone building block of lignocelluloses. Methyl trans-ferulate is widely found as an endogenous metabolite in plants and fungi. Methyl trans-ferulic acid, like all ferulates, possesses radical scavenging and anti-oxidant activity, and broad albeit weak antimicrobial activity.
