Geministatin B
Application Notes
Geministatin B is a minor metabolite isolated from the fungus Austroacremonium gemini more conveniently accessed as the aglycone degradation product of geministatin A, a depside antibiotic isolated from the fungus Austroacremonium gemini. The loss of the sugar confers greater potency against S. aureus and MRSA when compared with geministatin A.
