Alternapyrone
Application Notes
Alternapyrone is a polyketide phytotoxin produced by Alternaria solani, a causal fungus of early blight disease to tomato and potato and Parastagonospora nodorum, a fungal wheat pathogen. The biosynthesis of alternapyrone using an iterative type I polyketide synthase has been reported.
