Sporminarin B
Application Notes
Sporminarin B is a planar polyketide reported in 2006 by Gloer and co-workers, University of Iowa, USA, from Sporormiella minimoides isolated from Trametes hirsutum. Sporminarin B is a demethyl analogue of sporminarin A and is a linear carboxylic acid characterised by a tetraenol chromophore. Its analogue, sporminarin A is active against Aspergillus flavus but lack of availability has prevented further investigation of this interesting class of metabolites.
