Orthosporin
Application Notes
Orthosporin is an isocoumarin phytotoxin, isolated in the 1980s from the plant pathogenic fungi, Drechslera siccans (oat rot) and Rhynchosporium orthosporum (leaf scald on orchard grass). Orthosporin, together with diaporthin, has also been isolated from other fungi, including the fruiting body of Daldinia concentrica and Aspergillus ochraceus. Othosporin has been reported as a phytotoxin but otherwise not extensively investigated.
