Application Notes
Lirioresinol A dimethylether (epiyangambin) is tetrahydrofurofuran lignan first isolated from the bark of the yellow poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera) by Dickey, Institute of Paper Sciences, USA, in 1957. Isolated from many plant species, including Virola, Artemisia and Ambrosia, lirioresinol A methylether is a potent and selective antagonist of PAF both in vitro and in vivo. Lirioresinol A dimethylether is reported to modulate intracellular calcium.
