Kinetin riboside
Application Notes
Kinetin riboside is a natural product detected in coconut water (Cocos nucifera) which exhibits stimulatory effects on plant growth and cell division. Kinetin riboside has potent antitumor activity against human leukemia, melanoma and pancreas cell lines, and is pro-apoptotic leading to increases in levels of Bax and decreased levels of Bcl-2. Kinetin riboside augments the antibacterial effect of chlortetracycline against S. albus and S. aureus. Kinetin riboside activates the Parkinson’s disease target PINK1 kinase.
