Application Notes
Hesperidin methyl chalcone is a ring opened flavanone glycoside, found in large quantities in many citrus fruits such as lemons, limes and oranges. Hesperidin methyl chalcone has antiquorum sensing activity, as well as antiinflammatory and antioxidant activity. Hesperidin methyl chalcone reduces TNF-α-induced VCAM-1 expression through regulation of the Akt and PKC pathway, which contributes to the inhibition of adhesion of monocytes to endothelium.
