Application Notes
Drimendiol is the sesquiterpene dialcohol of polygodial, found in a number of plant species native to Australia and New Zealand. More recently, drimendiol was prepared from polygodial isolated from Tasmannia lanceolata by Smith and colleagues at the University of Tasmania, Australia. Drimendiol's bioactivity has received little attention but it is reported as a quorum sensing inhibitor.
