Bassianin
Application Notes
Bassianin is a yellow pigment isolated from Beauveria sp. Bassianin Inhibits erythrocyte membrane ATPase in a dose-dependent manner, with more potent activity against Ca2+-ATPases than Na+/K(+)-ATPase. Activity is likelty to be due to membrane disruption, since bassianin caused alterations in erythrocyte morphology and promoted varying degrees of cell lysis.
