3-Hydroxymycophenolic acid
Application Notes
3-Hydroxymycophenolic acid is the lactol derivative of the immunosuppressant mycophenolic acid (MPA), bearing a hydroxy group at C-3 of the phthalide. 3-Hydroxymycophenolic acid demonstrates similar immunosuppressive potential to MPA, inhibiting the target inosine-5′-monophosphate dehydrogenase 2 with an IC50 value of 0.95 µM. 3-Hydroxymycophenolic acid is inactive against human gastric adenocarcinoma AGS and human lung fibroblast cell lines.
