Aquastatin C
Application Notes
Aquastatin C was first reported by Kim and co-workers, Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology in 2011 from Sporothrix sp. Aquastatin C is a glycoaromatic derivative of aquastatin A in which the 2-hydroxy-6-methyl benzoic acid ring of aquastatin A is deleted. Aquastatin C lacks activity against bacterial enoyl-ACP reductases and does not inhibit growth of S. aureus, MRSA and S. pneumoniae.
