Application Notes

Methyl-3-amino-2-pyrazinecarboxylate is prepared by esterification of 3-​aminopyrazine-​2-​carboxylic acid with methanol in the presence of 65​% oleum. Esters of 3-​aminopyrazine-​2-​carboxylic acid are reported to be active against against M. tuberculosis.
