Fusacandin A
Application Notes
Fusacandin A is a rare metabolite related to the papulacandin family produced by Fusarium sambucinum, reported by researchers at Abbott Laboratories, USA in 1995. Fusacandin A exerts its antifungal effect by inhibiting (1,3)-β-glucan synthesis. The low yield from the original strain has hampered research on this metabolite.
