ε-Rhodomycinone is an anthraquinone aglycone which is relatively common in Streptomyces sp.. ε-Rhodomycinone is an intermediate in the biosynthesis of daunomycin. Rhodomycinone is cytotoxic to murine NS-1 cell line (LD99 0.8 µg/mL).
