Methoxy-9-methylfuro[2,3-b]-quinoline-4,5,8(9H)-trione, 7-
Application Notes
7-Methoxy-9-methylfuro[2,3-b]-quinoline-4,5,8(9H)-trione is a semisynthetic derivative of the quinoline alkaloid acronycidine isolated from the bark of the Australian Rutaceae, Acronychia bauera and Melicope fareana. To date no biological activity has been published on the compound, however acronycidine (5,7,8-trimethoxydictamnine) is reported to have antimalarial activity.
