Application Notes
2-Benzoxazolinone is a metabolite produced by rye (Secale cereale) that inhibits germination and growth and causing oxidative damage in target species acting selectively at the G2/M checkpoint of the cell cycle. 2-Benzoxazolinone has diverse pharmacological activities including Antinociception, Anti-inflammatory, antileishmanial, antioxidant, anti-HIV, anticancer, antidepressant, and neuroprotective effects. 2-Benzoxazolinone is a privileged structure for the design of bioactive molecules.
