Application Notes

Aquastatin D is produced by Fusarium sp. but can also be produced by thermal degradation of aquastatin A. Aquastatin D is active against Bacillus subtilis with MIC 3.1 µg/mL but is less active against S. aureus and S. cerevisiae (12.5 and 6.3 µg/mL, respectively). Aquastatin D is inactive against NS-1 and NFF cell lines.
